    Dams also made hundreds of millions of acres livable, farm-able and viable. nearly all of Eastern WA would be uninhabitable without irrigation that Dams allow.

    your view a very narrow one and a bit of a surprise. Life is a constant decision on the "lesser of two evils". we tend to make those decision favor Mankind. granted, not all are the best and we tend to realize it eventually, but Dams are a good idea. a VERY good idea but not without its drawbacks.
