I am going to switch all of my bulbs with LED's. They are brighter and match the LED tailights better.

Let us know how it turns out. Someone in Japan posted a Youtube video of all his lights changed to LEDs (including the fogs. The headlights are HIDs). Never got a reply back from him.

Can someone please confirm my numbers? I don't have fog lights so don't need the bulbs for those. Besides the highbeams, is there anything I'm missing? Below is the count I came up with:
    • Philips Silver Vision WY21W - 2 packs for a total of 4 bulbs; 2 leds for front turn signals and 2 bulbs for rear turn signals
    • Philips Blue Vision W5W - 3 pack for a total of 6 bulbs; 2 bulbs for parking lights, 2 bulbs for front side markers and 2 bulbs for the license plate.
I have the halogen headlights. Do you think it would look funny if I used the led highbeams? Would the colors work?

    Thank you.

LEDs or regular bulbs? I thought the Blue Vision were regular bulbs. Also, since when did the industry decide to change code? 168/194 base now becomes W5W?

I think you got all the bulbs unless you wanna change the reverse lights too.

Comments in bold below. Also, all the bulbs I used on my car are bulbs, not LEDs.

Thanks you guys for the quick response. Still learning and reading so much my head hurts. Edited my other response to make the LED/bulb correction.

So the ones to get for the headlights are PIAA 15211 H11 Style Xtreme White 55 and they look whiter than the current ones Stream? I know I still have much to learn.

May I kindly ask... how much did all those PIAA bulbs cost you at the end?

Don't get me wrong, I aint trying upset anyone here, but out of curiousity, the price of PIAA bulbs is pretty much 60-80% cost of a decent HID kit nowadays... and its barely 1/3 the brightness of HID (HID-Like is not HID)...so why not go for HIDs?

You headlight low beams are the same as the fog bulbs in my Prius V--the bulb models & sizes I used are in the first post of this thread.

All the replacement bulbs I got are whiter & brighter than the OEM bulbs, and the turn signal bulbs eliminate the "fried egg" look of the OEM bulbs when they're not in use.

I have LED headlights, so don't need to consider any replacements.

The PIAA fog bulbs I bought cost $65 for a pair. As I mentioned in the first post, I've used PIAA bulbs for many years in many cars (4.5 years in my last car) without any issues.

I didn't consider HIDS for the fogs for the following reasons:
--aftermarket HIDs are illegal in many states, because they can blind oncoming vehicles since they don't have the auto leveling that's part of car manufacturers' installations.
--HIDs are very expensive, although now there are more and more "second tier" brands showing up, but who knows what quality you're looking at. The cheapest I've seen are a couple hundred dollars (a no-name brand), so the PIAAs are a third of the price of those (not 60% - 80%, as you indicated). If you want PIAA, Sylvania, or any other name brand, you're looking a some multiple of the no-name brands.

Placed the order for the bulbs. Can't wait till they come in.

I'm gun shy on the HID headlights so will not get those. :(

Could you please post the finally tally of part numbers and quantities for your order? I am thinking of doing a similar replacement and this would be very helpful :)

If you go to the first post of the thread, you can buy the same bulbs I did, since the bulbs for the fogs in my Prius V are the same type as your headlight low beams. There are links that take you to the sites and products you need.

    You'll need:
2 pairs of the turn signals (front & rear)
1 pair H11 for headlight low beams (that I used for fogs)
    1 pair of high beams
2 pairs of the W5W (1 pair for front parking lights, 1 pair for rear license plate)

Stream, do you know the bulb type for the signals? Has anyone switched the interior lights?

What company did you buy it from? Were they not available locally in the US?

How much did they cost with shipping?

I am thinking of going this way as the LED 7440's are over $20 each.

i bought them from the UK website that Stream (OP) posted on the first page. when i googled the bulb number there was no US website listed.

Philips Silver Vision WY21W from Power Bulbs | Free Worldwide Delivery

i bought 2 sets of the WY21W which came with 1 free set of the W5W and i bought 1 additional set of the W5W. Total was $36 # sterling which was approx $60 US. Free Shipping worldwide.
