    Techstream version = 10.10.018
Windows XP running on VirtualBox on a Macbook Air (Also run my other diag SW this way without problems : VW VCDS and Volvo VIDA)
MVCI firmware = 1.4.1 (from MVCI firmware update tool)
MVCI purchase time frame = ~2010

Works great on a Gen1 and my 07 Gen2. On my 11 Gen3, generally works pretty well but it would randomly lose communications with various ECUs at the most inopportune times like when doing complex brake bleed sequence. Like to eliminate this problem as its often problematic working with half broken tools.

I come across others noting similar problem but can't seem to find a solution. Are the latest Mini VCI cable with 2.0.4 firmware more stable?

i have the same problem on a genuine WinXP. don't remember the version/firmware #, but sounds similar to yours. can't trust that thing.
