It shows they make it for the 05-09 Prius, maybe I did not see where it said they have it for the 2010. That pic is a GII, not a GenIII...

IMO a waste of money for a Prius, even a V. Are you planning to run slalom courses or weave back<>forth on the freeway?

Yes, this is what I am confused about too. Maybe my preconception of "Prius" is slanted, but it seems excessive on this type of car.

Are the returns worth the investment?

Yes, the 09 is the last year of the 2nd Generation. The 2010 is the first year of the 3rd Generation. Complete redesign...

Check out the wikipedia page for differences from each generation. [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Prius[/ame]

Yeah, I was going to say something like that. ;)

And something along the lines of "What's wrong with better handling?", which can now have two meanings. :p

I think this and the under bracing would eliminate a lot of body roll. I am sure a set of Eibachs would definitely help out to.

Well I'm use to my other cars full suspension set up... and thought this would make prius a bit more fun to drive without some crazy stuff

How does it affect handling? Where did you buy it & how long did it take to arrive?

I feel a difference especially turning (of course) But who knows, could be just a butt dyno. I know for a fact that strut tower bars helps keeps the springs leveled rather than being un-even when hitting turns or what not. Anyways, I think it's a great addition ... some people hate it especially being on a prius. But I don't see what's there to hate. It does not ruin any performance or economy performance on our cars.

I went through Tanabe USA Inc. - Sustec Tower Bar or you can try More Japan :: Since 2003 ... Shipping wise I live close to them. So it probably took a day or two. I didn't really notice it.

Just curious, do you have a 2010 Prius? and if so, did you install a 09' strut tower brace?

I don't see how you can buy or order from tanabe-usa link. The second link does not have Prius listed to buy.

    How did you order?

Crap... im sorry for the misunderstanding... My family owns older model prius. And I own 10' prius. I bought one for the 08 model... I understand that the 10' model did not did well. I called tanabe up and seems like it's not available (something with the R&D)

Sorry again.. it's for the 08. I know I made this thread for the 10' model and I am STILL waiting for it to come out.

But the bar is what matters, No? All the pressure and stress goes straight to the bar. Thicker bar = stronger hold.
