I'd heard that the new Prius V would give you stats on your latest trip. I see where it will tell you how long you've driven, but I was under the impression that it also did your MPG for the latest trip too?

Also, my 2008 would automatically reset the trip odo upon fill up. Not the tripA or tripB odo's, but the one on the consumption screen. Does the new one do something similar? I new at every fill up that I would reset the MPG's for that tank whenever the miles reset. I can't find an analog to that in the new screens.

How are people calculating MPG's per tank, computerwise?

I just found the secret today. When it is on either stripA or stripB, you just press trip button longer, may be more than 1 sec, then it would be reset.

I can't find a long-term mileage reading like my older Prius. So far, I keep the Trip B on continuous mileage and Trip A on this fillup. Kinda defeats the purpose of having "trip" mileage and records for each 'trip'.

I think if you press the car button there is a stats option there that gives you the long term mileage

I'm not in my car right now, but if I remember correctly, for 'long term mileage', you hit the 'trip' button on the steering wheel and go past trip A and trip B. Then hit the display button to scroll until you get to the average mpg. I believe that shows you your average mpg since you bought the car (unless you've reset it).

I didn't realize it, but each trip odometer, A & B, also have a corresponding average MPG. If you're displaying Average MPG and you cycle the trip button, it will also cycle the Average MPG along with it. It's even better than the previous Prius way of doing it!

Exactly. For those who wish to see the overall avg, keep pressing the trip button on the steering until you see the total km put on so far & then keep pressing display button which will go through Trip A/B and I don't exactly remember when but after trip a and b for sure. It will display the average for the total km travelled so far. Btw the trip computer isn't that accurate, though fuelly helps. Just keep your receipt and takes few secs to add fuel on fuelly.

I do have this problem in my 06 Prius, but somewhat different.
I park the car in the sun for 8 hours, when I go in and start it, the gas indicator is blinking as if there is no gas left. In this case both trip A & B miles are reset, then a few seconds later the MPG history is also reset.
After this important data is erased, the car realizes, oh wait, the gas tank is full, my bad. but the history is gone :(
Any idea if I can fix this?
    Thanks.

Does this feature work on all models, or 08 onwards?

Where do you find "how long you've driven"? I'm not seeing that on mine, just how far. My Jeep used to have a trip timer and I can't find it on the V.
