Why is there a Standard Household plug in my bumper?

    There is a normal cord like what a household appliance such as a vacuum cleaner in the front of my prius bumper. What is this used for and where do I store it at?

    Your car may have been previously converted to a PHEV. Look under the carpet in the back and see if there is a battery pack there (where the spare tire is supposed to go).

    Oh really? I do have Stickers in my Rear Windows that say "PHEV" with a green leaf.

    Scratch that, it says "PZEV" What is the deal about PHEV?

    Give it a try. Regardless of outdoor air temps, it'll get your car warmed up faster. One hour minimum would likely do. You can tell if it's working by feeling a few of the coolant hoses after it's been going a while. They don't get hot, just warm, especially the ones close to block heater.
