    And so it begins....
Also ordered the TRD springs and Plus Ground Effects along with the bumper parts:
    Parts.jpg
These are the fogs I'm planning to put on:
    LED Fogs.jpg
The bumper is in shop. I hope to get it tomorrow so I can work on all of it over the weekend.
Now, can you all give me your opinion on how I should do the wiring of the fogs and DRLs? Assuming that the bumper fitment goes well, of course.
I was thinking about running the DRLs to the fogs since those are LEDs. I doubt they'll function well as fog lights anyways, as I mainly got them for aesthetics. That way, the fogs and drls will be on at the push of the button. Except having the fogs, drls, and driving lights on all at once might be asking for a ticket. My other option was to run the drls to a wire that is hot when the car is on. I'm absolutely clueless as to how to find which wire to tap in to, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Sean did help me find a drl module that can be bought on ebay which simply requires hooking up the two ends to the battery. Essentially, wouldn't I be doing the same thing as long as I find a wire that turns on when the car turns on? I don't know, help me out, please. Thanks, and stay tuned for the progress.

That module will turn on the DRLs when the car is on bit will turn them off once the headlights are turned on.

I would test those LED fogs at night to see how well they light up the road to see if its worth using them as fogs.

If they are good, use them as fogs at night & the DRLs during the day & or at night.

If ur willing to make the drive, I can help u with everything u need to get done......wiring & bumper swap :D

Superb! I will definitely take you up on that offer. I'll email you to schedule a convenient time for both of us. I think I want to have the DRLs on at all times when the car is on and even when the headlights are on too, unless there's a reason why I shouldn't do that. I still need to get the switch for the fogs.

Dude, sorry if you mentioned it before, but where did you get the LED fogs?

No worries at all. I haven't mentioned any sources. Once done, I'll try and list all the parts used in this mod. I got the fogs on ebay for $120 shipped. They're from China and they got here fast. I am very pleased and surprised by the build quality. The housing is metal and the lens are thick glass. They're quite heavy, so I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Here's the ebay link:

Interesting, in person I really like the new front bumper design of the 12 but seeing them side by side I like the 10-11 version more. Now I'm really confused!

Very nice, thanks. I am surprised I didn't see these before. Would really like to hear what you think of the brightness and color. Too blue up here and the police like to pull you over. :(

Does this come with a wiring kit? Or do I have to buy one separately. I am very interested in something cool looking to finish off my pear white '11 prius.

The LED fogs will need a relay harness if u don't already have fogs.

Ok guys.......madman & I completed the bumper swap on his 2010 this past Sat. It was a pretty straight foward swap & the results are great. I'm not going to steal madmans thunder so I will let him give all the details & pics. :D

    UPDATE:

I updated the parts list. The engine covers under the bumper do not need to be replaced......the 10-11's are identical to the 2012

Finally, this mod is complete. Sorry it took so long. As sfv41901 had said, it is confirmed that the 2012 bumper will in fact fit on a 2010 and 2011. This would have taken much longer and maybe even to no fruition if it weren't for the help of sfv41901. No thunder stealing there, bro, you deserve most the credit! . I'll be putting in a more detailed post to list all the parts needed including part #'s so those of you interested in doing this bumper update can do so without reinventing the wheel. I got home a bit late so the pics are kinda dark. I know you guys are interested in seeing some pics so here's a few in the meantime. Enjoy, and stay tuned.

Those fog lights are extremely bright. They have no specific or focused pattern as well, so they pretty much light everything up. I wouldn't recommend driving with them on at night, and even in the day, they're super bright even as DRLs. They do have a cool blue color, but not too blue imo. They work well as DRLs and for aesthetics. As for fog performance, I think they might obstruct more than enhance your vision. I'll shoot some pics during the day and night when I get a chance.

That's exactly what we thought after we were finished.
