The inward-sloping windows of a Prius are a problem when camping in the rain in a Prius Super RV because if the windows are raised the air circulation thru the screened windows is stopped. Ideally, we want the windows at least partially opened even during a rain, and that requires adding rain guards at the tops of the windows.
Rain guards to custom fit the windows of the Prius can be fashioned from 42-inch long aluminum rain flashing for a door sill, which is available for $0.99 per piece from Home Depot (top piece in picture below). First you mark off each inch on the short upper part of the "S" shaped piece, and then mark the same 1-inch intervals on the longer lower part of the "S" (see the second piece in the picture below. Now take tin snips (or a robust pair of scissors) and first cut off the excess 6 inches and then cut each of the 35 lines on both the upper and lower parts. The net result of these cuts is that the entire piece of flashing can now be bent to conform to the upper curve of the Prius's windows (see the third piece in the picture below).

Next, with the window lowered, insert the short, upper part of the flashing into the upper channel where the window fits when it is fully raised. Carefully ease the entire length of the flashing into the channel (see picture below) and bend it down a bit so that water sheds off the flashing. The screens for the Prius Super RV can be installed over this flashing, taking care not to snag and tear the mosquito netting. If it rains, the windows can still be raised to about 4-5 inches below the flashing to have some airflow while preventing water infiltration.

    Cheers, folks!
