Howdy, love the engine building thread you started! Great work. May I ask what home you’re using to hone the block? Thanks
I have air bubbles in my coolant system; watched a guy on YouTube, he said to open up temperature sensor, where is that and how do you do, can you send pics?
Hey there … just saw your post about your Colorado friend. I own a shop in the DFW area and do mobile work. I have two jobs in Denver coming up. I’d be happy to help your friend. I offer 12 month unlimited mile warranty. Takes me about 3 hours. I show up with a machined head, lapped valves, all the essential parts already cleaned and ready to be installed.
I guess so! It's been slowly dying for a long time. I'm not even sure the last time I had it started. I'm going to (finally) get my MegaSquirt installed. The factory EFI can't really figure out what to do. The throttle is more of a "light switch" for the fuel.
I will look up the part number for you no problem you'll be able to use the starter from let's say 90 Toyota truck the base truck 22REC in it I use them all the time
I want to rebuild the solenoid rather than replace the starter. This has been a hassle for some time.
Hey Tom, you got part # for RA65 starter solenoid contacts & plunger? My older boys are really wanting to help me get my coupe running again. Does the starter type matter much? I remember Mark (RA24man) spec'ing a specific starter for my build.
Text my phone if you do that 919-892-0363 I can get you sorted out two or three different ways not an issue Happy to help
Whit, Here is a link to the 2006-2009 Prius Maintenance manual on my web server. You start a PM by clicking on the link below the one you clicked on to put a message on my profile. The 2006-2009 repair manual: doctord.webhop.net/prius/2006PriusManual.zip Be patient with my web server as it is an old PC in my basement and may be a bit slow.
Going nuts trying to figure out when I'm allowed to post a new thread. Meanwhile I can't ask for help. Tis a frustrating thing.
My 2021 prime LTD was delivered with a front license plate mount installed. It was fastened with what looked like a common tapered screw thread. Any screw diameter that fits in the hole should work.
