Hi Bill, did you manage to get to know the cause of the ticking sound issue, from 2015....)? thanks, Ben
In retrospect, no. During, there were thoughts of placing the Nano closer to under the seat or somewhere in the rear seat area. But, for me, the under cargo area, was better in that it's out of the way and not terribly difficult to access if needed.
Because I also carry a spare wheel in my cargo area, I drove around for some weeks to hone in on the Nano settings before finally deciding on settings that will "fit all my music". That way I don't have to remove the spare tire that often.
Also if you plan on placing your Nano under the cargo area in the foam things, there was really only one location the Nano fit in for a Prius Plug. I should have a pic of that in my shared pics.
Bob some people seem to be able to see a reply to a post and tell which posting the reply was intended to apply to. Is that the way you see the forum? I'd like: a b reply to a c reply to b d reply to a etc I see: a b c d and if a reply doesn't quote I have no clue which message the reply is to.
I'm looking to purchase a hitch mount for a 2012 Prius. Did you install it yourself? Was yours the 11276? I had read that the #11469 does not require trimming or removal of panel, but that is no longer available.
Hello Danny. M. Tideland linked me to you regarding my "limited access" to PM "due to inactivity" Can it be reinstated please?
Message part 1: Mr. Mendel, my 2013 Prius 3 died slowly slowly as if it were running out of gas in the Florida heat on the way home about ten miles out last week. On the way out there had been a warning on the dash: "park in a safe place". I had obeyed, looked under the hood and then continued ten more miles out to a meeting.
Message part 2: On the way home after it sat in the ditch 3 or 4 minutes it cranked right up and took me home but I drove easy with NO air conditioning. I have done two 5-mile test-runs and now the "park safely" and "check engine" signs are gone. A friend's analyzer suggests water pump over-rev. Maybe it is the hybrid water pump ? Autozone OBD says water pump B. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
THANks, Mr Mendel -- first i changed the cheaper difficult-to-reach hybrid pump -- STALLED AGAIN along the highway so I drove slowly w/o a/c to dealer for diagnosis. Changed more expensive, easily accessible main water pump... 4000 miles ago ! ! PS: Toyota could have positioned that hybrid pump in a VERY EASY TO REACH spot behind the left headlight = lots of space there ! ! ! GRRR !! !
3013 Prius now has 214,000 miles. I am considering bolting 3/4" plywood sheet under the car to try to make for a quieter ride. [with large cut for heat from exhaust piping] We can hardly converse on rough blacktop. I already put two layers of 1/2" carpet padding in all the doors and floors, and I sprayed many cans of tar in all the wheel wells and underbody --- all to NO avail.
Yeah I was looking at the inverter coolant pump from below: it's right there, could readily be dropped out, except the fasteners can only undone from the far side. Which entails removing the entire blessed inverter. Very frustrating.
Yeah I think I know what's wrong but I can't type that much 919-892-0363 I'm Tom this has been tried right here at my shop by a Russian kid and I can only tell you what happened
