I guess the I'm just trying to say I would rather not have to worry about a hybrid-battery when I have to replace an actuator anyway in one of my Prius. I have two Gen2 Prius.
PRIMARY DRIVER: 2007 Prius has bad actuator and cannot drive but the hybrid-battery is good.

Hi everyone,

I am currently maintaining a 2004 Prius (Gen 2) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Recently, I’ve noticed some jerking/hesitation when the engine starts, particularly during low SOC (44%) and high battery temperatures (39°C+).

I recently fixed a P0446 code by replacing the EVAP VSV (Vacuum Switching Valve), which resolved that specific issue. Now, I want to focus on the intake side. My recent Car Scanner data shows:

Absolute TP: 18.82% (at 1199 RPM charging state)...

Everything on it has been maintained at the dealer and I always make it a point to buy parts for our dealership that are high quality.

However this is also a 17 year old. So we can't opt for the high-dollar Toyota factory unit.
Or maybe we can? These are a few thoughts I have on where the sweet spot may be...
1) Find the highest rated one on Amazon which includes the harness. Apparently removing one from an older unit...
I didn't know there was any other way. A mechanic was going to do a test on my car and asked for the fob. He stuck it in the dash.
Currently if you want to mount anything to the back of your Prius you have to buy a big heavy hitch that mounts to the 4 tow bracket bolts under the rear of the car. Not only do they cost near $200 these days but it's like driving around with a 40 pound bag of concrete in the back of your car for the rest of its life.
Did I buy a junk OBD2 reader, or am I doing something wrong with the app?
