Are snow tires worth it?

It got down to -25 F last night. Supposed to be -35 F tonight, with a "high" tomorrow of -20 F

You folks now know why I have an insulated, attached, and heated garage

I had to stick the deicing cable into the plumbing vent stack and plug it in, to keep the vent stack from icing over. Too bad these weren't around when the house was built

I still can't believe that most new homes around here do NOT use storm doors. A single door will easily ice up in these temps
