This makes me want to go out in the country with my Twilight cardboard cutout and our 2010 Prius V w/ Advanced Technology and test this out! Thanks for the info!

Sorry for the blurry video. To answer your question, it say BRAKE!

I think its funny because at that point you should already know what to do.

A bit off topic, but i am thinking of making a detailed video covering the capability, and limitations of the Park Assist System. I have spent a considerable amount of time playing with the PAS, and I think i can clear up any confusion.

I'd be very interested in seeing that. I've used IPA several times and it's worked flawlessly in each case. However, I'm curious about it's limitations and how fault tolerant it is. I've done some web searching since IPA has been around for several years on the Lexus and non-US Prius models, but there doesn't seem to be much technical info available. So anything you can provide is appreciated!

You might want to call it IPA to keep consistent with the formal acronym.

I was playing around with perpendicular parking and found that a supporting column (in a parking garage) adjacent to the free space between two cars gave a distance too short error message, even though there was plenty of space.

Yes IPA it is. Thank you for the correction. :)

I guess as things become more computerized you have to shift your trust from mechanics to electronics. The computers have access to the steering wheel on any 2010 Prius. They work in the form of "S-VSC". When the vehicle is sliding, it applies resistances to the wrong direction so that the driver won't make the slide worse. Any Toyota/Lexus with VDIM will also have steering-assisted VSC.

It also says BRAKE! with DRCC if you're approaching a vehicle at a rapid pace (or in my case, switch lanes right behind another vehicle to test out the system). BRAKE! with DRCC would be the 2nd warning (the first being the flashing radar cruise screen... the one with the two cars and the bars)

Also another thing to note is the flashing PCS light on the passenger side.
