Gathering the data is very basic.
I take photos of the 7 displays before and after each driving segment and the Kill A Watt values at home and at work. Then enter the data of the photos to Excel.
I started it the day I got the PIP March 14 and now can't stop !!!

Since getting my PIP March 14, I've been using the lock every time I charge at home and work. Using the Master Tumbler lock is very easy. It may not be necessary, but it's routine now.

Is anyone else locking their handle each charge?

I liked it so much that I adopted the locking procedure to. Instead I use a keyed padlock, much easy to unlock in the darkness of the early morning and I carry the padlock key with my fob in the ring.
This is a much more elegant and practical solution that others I had see and a few $$ worth.

I use one of those locks with the 3 number combination too for when I plug-in in the street where I live rather than my garage. It's from a piece of luggage I bought, so nothing great or expensive but it gets the job done.

I drove 200 miles with a full charge, used the AC and got 58 mpg.
Then drove back with No Battery, used the AC and got a TRUE 51 mpg.
    Averaged 54 and 55 mph.
    Very pleased !!!

I was escorting a Senior Adult Group to the Outer Banks, North Carolina, when at Bodie Lighthouse a Sea Glass Pearl (green) Prius Plug-in, just like mine, drove in the parking lot.

FIRST PIP I've seen and it was Just like mine.

I knocked on the window, scared the pants off the guy and introduced myself.
He was from the Chesapeake Bay area.
I told him about PriusChat.com and told him to signup and post his info.

And the Lighthouse was exciting too !!!

OK, we need to find a way to keep the ICE from starting when not wanted !!!!

Twice today I turned onto a 45 mph road and didn't watch the HIS, and the ICE started.
    It wasn't needed.
I was only going 2 miles to and from lunch.

When in EV, if the gas pedal isn't pressed to the Floor, I DON'T want the ICE on.

    Can someone figure it out?
Do we need a Toyota Engineer?
Is there a Toyota Engineer listening???

Today was NOT my day. I reset EV2, when I wasn't filling up. DAMN !!!

For some reason, EV2 displayed before EV1, I took a photo of the data and reset it without seeing it was EV2, not EV1.

I use Trip A and EV1 for driving segments and reset them after a charge.
I use Trip B and EV2 for Fill-up data and reset them after a gas fill-up.

I've been taking photos of each of the displays before and after each driving segment and fill-up and then transfer the data to Excel since I got the PIP March 14.

Me too! What makes it worse is that we rarely need to fill up, so the routine of taking pictures/notes of the various trip odometers and ratios never really sets in. I may need to create a cheat sheet for myself so I remember what to do and what not to do when I finally go to a gas station. :D

Well, since I reset EV2 by mistake, I decided to get a fill-up early.
    OK now.

After a Charge, when you press DISP on the steering wheel, why does the EV Display Ratio 2 display first?
    Why not EV 1?
I checked the Manual, but can't find why.

Also, I have a Kill-A-Watt to show me each charge amount.
Is there a Display that shows the kWh added?
Is it per charge? Is there an Accumulation Amount?
Where in the manual is the info?

For those that got to test the Pre-Production Plug-in vehicles, who were the engineers that sought your feedback? Are the engineers still around?

Have you noticed that in EV when the battery is 0.1, it stays there a long time?

Also, we know that when the Fan is turned on, the Battery drops 1 mile and when you turn the Fan off you get the mile back?

Well, when the battery is at 0.1, you don't get the 1 mile back, but it stays at 0.1 for a longer time.

All I notice is that once I get to 0, there's no more EV for me until the next recharge.
