I would do the wheel change myself. I always have. You might find a good shop or dealership to install your new alloy wheels, but sometimes you'll run in to the situation where an employee is in a hurry, leading to cosmetic scratches, lug over tightening or worse.

I also like to use an old fashioned lug wrench, instead of a gun to install or take off a wheel. It also becomes a good opportunity to buy a quality torque wrench, too. I've seen plenty of damage to nice looking new wheels from careless installations.

How about the Prius Performance Package wheels? Does Prius C has the same bolt pattern with Prius? I was thinking of the optional 17-inch performance wheels on 3rd Gen Prius.

No. The Prius Plus Package wheels are 5x100 with a 42mm offset. They will not fit the 4-lug Prius c.

Been driving on 5x7 wheels with original stock tires for over 2K miles now and have had no issues whatsoever with the fit. Purchased the rims from discount tire and took it back 100miles after installation for a follow up to tighten wheel nuts as advised - I ask for an inspection to ensure no rubbing and they found none.

Just had to replace the ugly steel and plastic hub caps. I think I took a slight hit in mpg performance but difficult to tell.

    Cheers!

Thanks. Offset is +38.00mm. Weight, not sure but MB wheels website claim 20lbs for all wheel sizes of this model which can't be accurate. Im curious myself about that; I'll weigh this weekend and get back to you.

I've had my orange (ok habanero) Prius C2 for a week now and I love it. I've tinted the windows and a few other things and I'm thinking very seriously about getting these wheels. They are TRAKlite Burn. All the measurements seem to add up. But I'm a bit concerned about the center cap. Anybody have a guess as to whether these will fit the Prius C?

I think the 15" "Burn" has a 40mm offset which should fit.

So for those who are still driving around in the steel-y's... what kind of improvement in fuel efficiency could we expect to see if we switched to something like those Konig's?

The savings in weight is the difference in the Konig and the steel wheels right?

I bought the wheels before I got the car home. So, I can not tell you about any savings. I doubt there will be any noticable difference as long as you keep stock tires. I just can't do hubcaps on any vehicle myself.

I think your car looks great with those honda FIT wheels. I prefer these hatchback cars looking like toys. IMO if your car is lowered, it would look even better with those wheels.

I've been running the Volk TE37s since the day i picked up this PriusC back in Nov 2012. I can't really compare to the stock steelies much since i only drove the steelies home from the dealer and that was the only time it was ever on the car. All i can say is these super light wheels are awsome. vehicle's handling, acceleration, and pickup speed is great.

It maybe due to my existing tire diameter is smaller than stock, I average about 48mpg in city driving. I'm waiting to wear them out so i can put my stock tires and tpms on. I'll report back again about my results then.

    my wheel specs are
    size: 15x6.5
    offset: +39
    bolt pattern: 4x114.5
    weight: 8.5 lbs
    tire size: 195/50/15 (1.3" smaller in diameter than factory's 175/65R15 )

I got some cheap no name brand wheels they are 17x7 205-50-17 pirelli p6 all season tires weight 39.5 with tires. When I did the math on my mpg seemed that I lost around 3-4mpg on my daily drive to work...but they handled alot better then the stock stealies. It would be interesting in seeing some lightweight wheels and the mgp difference with lightweight wide. Might still have drag issues to affect the mpg of the wider tires.

The MPG reduction is mostly due to reduced sidewall height and non-LRR tire
