Are there any Prius owners out there who had repairs covered under the extended warranty?

Folks, my baby (2010 Gen III V w/ATP) is 1000 miles shy of 36k. I've read many posts on whether to extend the warranty and frankly, everyone ends up arguing. BUT, someone suggested this would be a better question, so I am throwing it out there, in anticipation of making a more technically informed decision. Are
there any Prius owners out there who had repairs covered under the extended warranty (or that would have been covered had they bought it)?

That's a pretty good warranty. Mine cost a bit less but I have a $100 deductible.

Did this start at 38K miles or did it happen earlier and you waited to get it fixed?

FWIW, the extended warranty costs the same whether you have Prius II or V, so the value is a little better for you.

It just seems od that at 38,000 miles it would just start vibrating. I was asking if you noticed it from the begining and it got worse. Or did something hit it that cause it to come loose.

nothing hit it, nothing was lose, did not notice it before 38k miles, they disassembled and re tightened still the same problem (this got them scratching their head). replacing the whole thing (except the cover) solved the problem.

And it showed no issues of being loose until you hit 38,000 miles?

After reading this thread about all the people that took advantage of an extended warranty why would anyone buy one?

I own an '04 GenII I bought @48.5k miles and got the extended warranty. I now have 94k miles on it. So far I have had the water pump recall done at N/C and the ICE water pump replaced under the extended warranty. The warranty runs out in < 2 years now. I could have banked the $$$ for the warranty and paid for the pump replacement myself...and still been ahead.

    Live and learn. :(
