I found a plastic bag in glovebox that says in capital red letters: IMPORTANT

Then below it says "To pre delivery inspector: Insert these rubber plugs into the holes of the center floor side member extensions."

Where are the center floor side member extensions?

I found them there too; there's a thread here that describes where they go, and there should also be a diagram on the back of the bag.

Mine does not have a diagram on the bag. Guess I will poke around the car tonight.

As Squall said, just pop your head under each side of the car and you'll see the holes about a foot forward of each rear wheel.

So I installed the plugs tonight. The fitment didn't seem too water tight. I hope these plugs don't leak and keep water in instead of out.:cautious:

I put gasket sealer on mine just to be sure they sealed off good.

I've found these pulugs to be in two varieties.

The ones that came with my Prius "v" were made in China and were quite thicker and stiffer.

The ones made in USA were thinner and fit looser.

Now why do you suppose the dealer, or the port didn't install them??? That would be the question...

The plugs from my Civic fit the Prius perfectly.

I purchased a 2015 V and it still has the plugs in the glove box. I got on line to find out where they go. After finding out and finding the hole I placed my LED light into the hole and light shine all over! A lot of holes and slits so it does not seal anything! Maybe we are missing the right holes? I will ask techs on my 10K oil change.

Here is a picture of mine, they were also in the glove box. I spent a couple minutes looking up front but thanks to the thread it was an easy fix.

Pre-Delivery Inspection isn't what it used to be. There's a raft of things the dealership is supposed to do; sadly they tend to "mail it in", consider the PDI their "tip".

Better double-check all the tire pressures too, including the temp spare. And fluid levels, etcetera.

Email the service manager, you might get some freebies.

Thank you for the photos and help from all. I just picked up a 2021 XLE-AWDe and the same plugs are still in the same place... THE GLOVE BOX.

And my wife and I just bought a new 2022 LE-AWDe and the same things in the glove box and Googling led me here. I'm wondering, what do these plugs even protect?
