I know Toyota has been kind of jumpy with the floor mats since 2009. My understanding is that Weathertech now as the correct 1/4 turn retainer for the driver mat on the 2012 Prius. Does anyone think if anything happens Toyota might deny responsbility because "non-OEM" mats were used?

Also, any concern with the cargo liner retaining more heat inside of the battery compartment? I really don't think so since the batteries have their own forced air cooling duct. I just don't want the battery warranty to be denied with shady excuses.

Get the cargo liner. It does a much better job protecting the area from spills. It won't compromise your battery. I'm at 40 k miles with one of these liners.

I also got the cargo liner and it's a good product...fits well and does a great job protecting the light grey trunk...who makes a trunk light grey?! :)

I have the OEM Toyota heavy duty mats and they're in good shape still.

I saw that. Husky's mats do not have the correct fasteners for the 2012 models. Maybe I will just get the Husky cargo liner. I need to haul salt for my water softener ever now and then.
