Switch reverse lights for strobes????

That's a great idea! I'll have to give this a try... hopefully it'll catch the attention of the zombies in mall parking lots who try to ram me as I back out of my parking spot.

 

Wonder if you could modify this...

Yeah, this is great! This would work especially well on a track car... I'll have to pick one up.

 

I did that in my last car, Acura TL. The reverse bulb was a 921 which fits the base of a 194. Found LED strobe bulbs in a 194 size and put them in. He is when I go into reverse they are normal. Go to park or Neutral then back to reverse would turn on the flashing. Also had a button to turn them on when I wanted to make strobes for tail gaters. Never got pulled over or any trouble. Used them at car shows alot too.

For my Prius I have switchback turn signal/reverse lights. Switchback reverse turn signals | PriusChat Sadly I have not found any 7440 led bulbs that strobe. Could look for a Euro rear fog light,throw a strobe in there,wire it to the reverse or a switch and call it a day.
