    Are all the doors closed?
Does the "door open light" come on on the dash with a door open and go off when all the doors are closed?
Do the doors still not lock?

Is it possible you need to change the battery in the FOB?

Can you lock the doors using the lock switch on the driver's door?

I had the same problem. I got in the car, put the fob in the slot and turned the car on. Sat for a minute or two then turned it off pulled my fob out and when I got out and pressed the lock button it was working again. Good luck.

If you have 4 fobs and if any of the 4 fobs are inside the car while you are trying to lock it.....it won't lock! BTW, why do you have 4 fobs? The car only comes with 2 and replacement fobs are quite expensive.

So, a couple of things, the fob (any fob for the range) has a set unique code, the car reads the code, up to 5 of I think. To code look up "chicken dance Prius 08 or such" (it will become obvious as you go). I had to do it a few times to get both lock and unlock working, but no trouble since. I came here looking for no flash on lock/unlock and it turns out the hazard light switch had not quite returned back, pressed it and problem solved.

This would be annoying for me as I keep a spare electronic key hidden inside my 08 Prius and a thin hard key in my wallet so I can always get in even if I had to break a window, if I lost my pants (not likely) with both of those in them.
