2001 Main Battery Problem

    Ok just bought this 2001 Prius One Owner new car trade in it sat for a month without moving It needed a boost to start it then the three lights on the display lighted up PS+Main Batt + a pic of the car with a ! in it ! is it just from sitting so long and the Battery is low ? If I use an OBD and reset it will this and a charge take care of the problem ?? Thanks in advance

    Did the engine turn over and run?

    If not, you are going to need a Prius aware, OBD scanner to read out what is going on.

    The easiest way to reset all Prius codes is to disconnect the ground wire for a minute or so. In theory, the run-down 12V battery might have put the control computers in an indeterminate state showing false errors . . . but very few people are that lucky. Still, disconnecting the ground eliminates that hypothesis.

    the engine starts and runs but after say 5 miles the brake light comes on and if i pull over shut it down in a few minutes all was fine enough to get home My OBD gave these codes 3006,3011.3012
