Help - PiP seemingly dead

    I have a PiP I picked up last April. It has been sitting in the garage plugged in to the charger since last weekend. I went to drive it yesterday and it was completely dead. "No big deal", I thought, "just a dead 12v battery".

    This morning I went to jump the 12v battery with the charge points under the hood and nothing. The car is stuck in my tiny garage and everything is electronic so I can't even put it in neutral to push it out.

    At the dealer where I bought it the service department is too busy to pick up the phone. Does anyone know what could have caused this? I am not sure what else to try.

    try letting the 12 volt battery trickle charge overnight. connect the trickle charger directly to the battery located in the cargo area

    Did you try jumping the car by connecting directly to the battery in the back?
    Also, what if you unplug the charger and then plug it back in?

    I just call Toyota Care (Toyota Customer Experience Center) 1-800-331-4331
    Selection 1 is Roadside Assistance.
    Selection 5 is General Questions about Product or Dealer.

    Roadside Assistance will pickup your car and bring it to the nearest dealer of your choice to get fixed.
    General Questions has some technical assistance that may fix the known problems. If they can't fix it, they will get help from the dealer.

    The guy I spoke to said he could walk the caller to get the car started.

    So Saarp, give them a call.

    OP said car is stuck "in a tiny garage". Not sure how he's going to be able to get it towed out of there.

    You would have to jack up the front and insert rollers under the front wheels. Then release the parking brake for the rear wheels to move. Then push or winch the car out. If the driveway rolls downhill the "driver" needs to be ready to brake. Then load onto flatbed tow truck. A good tow truck operator will know how to do this.

    Hopefully, you will give us a good follow up on this. As far as I know, this is our first serious problem with a PIP

    Plugged into the charger since last weekend. Sounds like the charger gave out, thereby also not keeping the 12V charged, along with a current drain on the 12V. Wild guess!

    well, the charger shuts off as soon as you have a full charge. it doesn't "recheck" the charge state until you unplug and plug back in.
