Has anyone figured out a way to disable the tire pressure warning light off? Is there a fuse of some sort? I am dying to find a way to turn this light off, especially once I decide to buy a set of 17 inch Scion TC wheels. :D

Or, has anyone upgraded to larger wheels and had Toyota put on and calibrate new tire sensors? If so, was it worth it?

    Thanks.

    Vince.

Numerous drivers have applied a little patch of black tape over the light.

Don't know if you can disable the system. I bet not. Pull the bulb if you can do that even. Or buy Dorman part number 974-033 time's 4 and install them, then you have to have them programed with a scan tool. Don't forget to wright the code number off each sensor before you put the tire on the rim. You will need that number for the scan tool.

Just went throught this with a set of Fireston snow tire's I just bought. I would just like to know how to program two set's of tire's to the car like my scan tool says that can be done with this car. Feeling the scanner wrong on this one.

What baffles me is you CAN disable the TPMS on the Gen 3 and on just about every other late model Toyota vehicle (Yaris, Camry, Tacoma, etc) but there is no mod for a Gen 2?! Somebody with electrical wiring diagram experience has to pin out their Gen 2 TPMS and figure out with wires to jumper to provide the necessary signal to the module to trick it like they did in the Gen 3 TPMS disable mod.

I have a Gen 3 and would like to disable the TPMS light. In my state it won't pass inspection if the light is on. Do you know how to disable it?

There's no trick out. You use Toyota techstream software and remove it in the software.

If it's not to bypass an annual inspection, I would just ignore the light.

I have 18 inch rims on my Gen 2 and I drove without TPMS for 8 months because when I put the new tread on my tires I did not choose to swap the TPMS from my original rims period but when I bought new tires I had them put the Toyota TPMS in my 18 inch rims. It's very good to have on especially when you can't really tell if a 35 series tire is flat or not
