Finally got my PIP from the dealer today. I found out that Toyota does not recommend letting the charging cable hang from the outlet. Instead, it should be hooked onto something. What kind of hook is everyone using? Pictures would be great.

oh my god that looks scary…

anyway, when i charge at home, the outlet is in the laundry room, and next to the washing machine, so the brick rests on the washing machine. when i plug somewhere outside, i do try to make sure that the brick rests on something, even if it means contorting the charge cable weirdly when it comes out of the outlet.

The charging cable's brick has a hole in one corner. Loop a Ziptie or a wire loop through it and then you can hang the heavy brick from whatever is handy nearby.

There's no catagory for my situation, which is uses an extension cord to reach the car, so PIP cable is always on the ground. :D

I'm plugging in right next to my workbench, so I hang the brick on the pegboard.

  9. If, I must charge outside using a extension, the I put a small piece of rug over the junction at the eXtension plug, in the rain.

Isn't that like an electrical fire waiting to happen?

If the brick is outside, like at work, I unplug the extension first. I've never covered the brick.

That's what I did... for now. I might just install a hook like Mike.

I changed the Plug of my Cable to a Right-Angle Plug, so the weight of the brick doesn't pull the plug out.

Where did you get the 90 degree plug or are you using an adapter?

I use a rubber-coated hook designed for hanging bikes from the garage rafters or ceiling. One of the larger ones holds the coiled cable and the connector just fine. I used to have photos on here, but can't seem to find them now.

At work I use a small stretch bungee looped to itself, that then hangs of the outlet in the underground garage I park at, I'll update with a picture

That sounds like a novel idea. I am going to install a hook, but I like the concept of a bungee cord. Where did you get the bungee?
