I like where you are going with this, I would like to see the finished results. 20000 mcd per LED is nice and bright. Once you get it installed, fire it up and make sure the resistor supplied will handle the wattage. If it seems that the resistor gets really hot, I would take a visit to Digikey.com and get a Dale metal cased power resistor! They come in a wide variety of wattage and Ohms! Nice part is the are made to be mounted to a metal heatsink, like the firewall, inner fender, they are small, easy to place.

Also thinking about doing a retrofit on the fog lights as well. Was considering the Blazer fogs because of 'F8Ls' upgrade.

But wasn't happy with the beam pattern as fog lights... but they make a GREAT driving light with a GREAT cut off...but no foreground for fog light use...but after seeing the light pattern from the Hella Micro De Fog Light - pretty sure this is what I'll use:

Blazer - great driving lights, great cutoff - no foreground for fog lights

I'll like mount them in the yellow lens housing foglights to keep the look I already have:

Kinda like this still using my 3000k HID setup:

I use my driving lights as driving lights, little to no fog where I drive! I like the pic of the micro Hella's! Nice cutoff, and it does fill! as long as they do not overheat the housing, you should be fine. Another thing, make sure the yellow glass can take the heat. If it can, sweet!

And thanks to you I have this handy little diagram of how to wire it up. :) Thanks again!

The method of wiring will allow the LEDs to come on with the parking lights yet turn off when the headlights are on. Pretty sure the headlight with the retrofit Mini H1 will overpower the LEDs.

Ya, bit of fog often here along the coast. The 3000k HID kit I have now helps quite a bit when it is foggy. I am getting some 'squirrel finders' tho because the OEM reflectors have really bad cut-off with the HID kit - I have re-aimed the lights to make sure I don't blind anyone. So far no flashers. If I end up moving back to KS, I'll prob wish the lens was clear instead of yellow and swap the bulbs to 5000k from 3000k.

Wow!! That looks awesome to me. IMHO, JDM would look awesome with the black painted reflectors on the silver car. Not sure how the USDM looks like. Any pics?

    Keep those pics coming!!

I am partial to the Hella Micro DEs. Used to have them as driving lights on my motorcycle and they would light up those corners and road up ahead on the darkest of nights during my long distance sojourns.

BTW, how do you plan to fit them inside the OEM fog light enclosure?

I plan on using a router, dremel or hole drill to cut an opening into the back of Thee OEM fog light housing such as shown in the picture above. Then using some sort of bonding material to seal the micro de fog light into the back of the housing.

I thought this might look good until SDPD or CHP pulled me over :( according to CA DMV I have to have reflectors

    Soo... I'm stuck with USDM

Now I'm choosing between blacked housing and chrome housing tinted

Roughly looking similar to these below just only the chrome would have a smoked tint:

When I had my current headlights smoked with the black trim it looked like the below picture. However below also shows the fact that I had 2 different shades of tint - why i removed it completely.

Thinking if I can leave off the amber reflector and find some silver reflector or make my own out of 3M Scotchlite?
Just use this in the area that I taped off where the Amber reflector should be. I would then have a front 'reflectors'.
