Awesome... swinging by my local HD now 2 pick up the suggested parts... (1) brass 3/8 inch barrel and (2) small hose clamps.

Its easy. Just don't cut your hands on the rad. It's a tight fit there. You can re-use the crimp clamps but I prefer a good old hose clamp.

Any plans on making more complete aluminum mandrel bent intakes (w/ correct MAF adapter) for those who are interested in buying?

Of course, I want to test both versions out and actually dyno them both. I just don't know if I'll get them welded up before I get my DC header on. I'd like to dyno each mod to see what the difference actually is for each and then together. Going to talk to a welder today and also trying to get in contact with a skilled welder in LA and see what I can come up with.

Awesome! I think you'll notice a lot with the header. I noticed a lot when I changed to the NISMO CAT-less header on my nissan SPEC-V, but then again that was an otto cycle engine... Please keep us updated on the intake and all the other mods you're doing! :)

...AAAAAAAnd it was CAT-Less :) After we heard back from ToyoTechWV and his experience with his exhaust..

Once I add the header, I'm seriously considering cutting off the 2nd Cat as well and welding in (2) 7" round Magnaflow mufflers as resonators and calling it good. There is enough room for 2 round mufflers there in the middle of the car vs having to have one in the back like OEM. Haven't decided if I'll dump the exhaust or route it back to the rear of the car and do something like this..

maybe more of this angle...just not chrome (blacked out).
Just not sticking out so far - more streamline..

or the norm..out the rear like the original..just blacked out tips.
    Slant (blacked out)

    Or Straight (blacked out)

    hi guys,

like to get a 90 degree reducer from ebay.
can i know, the prius throttle size is 2.25"? that why your are using 2.25" to 2" to connect to the 2" customized maf housing?

    2004-2009 throttle body is 51mm or 2"

My "test fit Yaris MAF housing" was 2.25 - so i had to use a reducer. My new MAF housing I had CNC'd is 2" - no need for adapter.

i custom order from kstech.biz for a 2" ID MAF housing after i read this thread. so excited so i was wondering why u chosen 2.25 reducer.

so based on my setting, i wouldneed a 90 degree 2"-2". is it correct?

$105 - Not bad! A bit more than I paid for mine.

The 2.25 reducer was for the original design I had made from a Yaris intake which is 2.25" to have it fit the 2" Prius throttle I needed the reducer. Since we both now have 2" MAF housings u just need a 2" coupler in whatever angle you need. If you want to place the MAF in the similar position I did, then yes a 2" silicone 90° coupler would be perfect. Then slap on a filter and enjoy!!
