I did a swap this past weekend with a great fellow PriusChat member, we went to Big O tires to do the job.

Upon leaving, the man at the shop mentioned I need to drive 4-5 miles at over 65mph to reset the sensors. But that's not the case.

I've checked tire pressure and they are around 36 psi each.

I've tried to reset the sensors as per the manual but it's not working, am I doing something wrong?

What can I do, outside of taking it back to the shop?

    Thanks!

When the both of you swapped wheels, did you have the TPMS sensors removed and installed in the wheels that you'll be taking back with you?

The TPMS sensors are registered to an ECU in your car. If you swapped wheels, you should have kept the TPMS sensors which were originally associated with your car.

If you didn't retain your original TPMS sensors, did the vendor register the swapped TPMS sensors to your car?

If u both had TPMS sensors.....all u both need to do is swap the TPMS module. There's no need to pay the shops to swap the sensors......just swap the module. It's behind the glove box.

However if the other member already had the new sensors programmed then ur SOL.

I just brought it in and they registered the Code from all the sensors into the computer.

    :)
