I got a question. I gave my Prius to my mom a year ago. She was complaining that the rear door lock behind her can sometimes stick, resulting in it locking or not locking. Are you guys aware of this issue. Also any tips and DIY on how to remove the rear door panel?

    Thanks

No idea about the lock issue as I don't experience that. Maybe the cleaning with Wd40 and apply the carbon based grease will helps.
The rear hatch door's plastic panel is easy to remove. Simply pry with a proper tool along shorter sides of the panel, there are small openings on each side which will help you. There no bolts, just plastic clips around panel's edges. Altogether about 10 of them.
The plastic pry tool is a basic tool to maintain your Prius. The pry tool I use:

There are screws in the little door pulls under the small rubber pad in the bottom of them.

I understood his question as for rear hatch door. So my writing is for that door. I updated my original post.

I got it out, but it looks like i might have a dead door lock actuator. Anyone know the procedure on changing it.

    THanks
