Fan only, no Heating or Cooling

    I would like to be able to use the fan to bring in outside air with no heating or cooling. What I have been doing is turning the temp setting to Low and controlling the Fan Speed manually.
    This seems to work unless the outside temp is too low, then it seems to be heating the air a bit, which I don't work.
    Is there a different way of doing this? I feel like I am missing something.

    I haven't experienced the heating that you have though.

    Hey Joe,

    That's what I do as well. But, I haven't noticed any warm air. How low are the temperatures we are talking about?

    When the outside temp is in the 50s it seems like the air coming out the vents is warmer. Maybe it is just being heated as it passes through the system. This is not a big deal, I just wish they had kept a separate Vent setting.

    Maybe at colder outside temps the exhaust heat recoup system bleeds some heat to the cabin air system.

    If you set it on low it will cool the air. Theoretically, to attain no heating and no cooling, that you could feel, you would need to set the climate control temperature to the same as the inside air temperature, so you would need a separate thermometer inside the car.

    This is incorrect. If you turn off the AC (press the button to turn its LED off) it will not cool the air.

    It will still try to cool the cabin by blowing more outside air in if the climate is set to auto temperature control and the outside air is cooler, but adjusting the blower speed manually will counteract this by dropping it out of auto.

    I agree. The object of the OP was to do exactly that: bring in outside air without heating or cooling it.

    Oh, without heating or cooling the incoming air, I thought he meant without heating or cooling the cabin ?:unsure:
