Not anything on the OEM side. I taped it all together on my install so it would not rattle behind the unit.

I'd also like to thank again evpv and Nikos for excellent help via this forum. I got an email from the tech at M&D and he confirms the 12 pin plug is not used on the installation - just leave it disconnected behind the new NAV unit.

The new radio really rocks too! MUCH better than the OEM. I do have one problem and maybe evpv knows how to remedy:
When I tried running it at night, the buttons are OEM green but very dim. The instruction book says to adjust it using the Backlight on the setup screen - my version does not have this option. Is there a "backdoor" way to make it brighter (i.e. a special code in the AUX section key panel?)

I can't see inside your connectors from your angle, but there's at least one OEM clip that should fit the M&D connector. Compare the harnesses from the new NAV to your sockets - if you have 3 that will fit, you should be OK.

My install was a success. Took longer because I had to wire up the JBL adapter. For anyone that has a Non nav JBL head unit you will need an adapter and then wire it like any other after market radio. So far on loving this unit. Just the fact that I can stream my music over bluetooth is worthit for me. I was able to stream Pandora from my phone over bt as well, was even able to skip using the steering wheel controls. Haven't even tried the navi and backup yet.

    Hi Phoenixgreg,
Thank you for all the updated information you and forum members posted. I did install my M&S and everything is working perfect. However, I just found out that i could not load DVD disc in the the DVD slot. When I inserted the DVD into the slot. It took 3/4 of the disc in and stopped. Did you or forum members encounter this problem. Thanks.

OPPs! Did you remember to remove the 2 shipment screws in the top of the NAV unit?

    Hi Phoenixgreg,
Oh no, I did not. I guess I have to take it out and do that :). Thank you very much. Are you planning to install the backup camera anytime soon.

Yes - I ordered one from Amazon and it should be here next week. From what I can see, it's almost as involved as installing the NAV unit. BTW, if you are considering the backup camera, you should do some "pre-wiring" while you have the unit out. Add any yellow video cable to the camera-in and route it thru the dash on the driver's side so you can "add" to it later. Also, attach a blue automotive wire to the wire labeled "back" and also route that wire alongside the video wire. These 2 wires should wind up somewhere under the carpet trim piece under the driver's door.

You're welcome :) If you go with a backup camera, you will attach the video wire that comes with the camera to your extension. You'll eventually need a male-to-male adaptor...probably available at any electronics department. The "back" wire will need to be extended to the positive terminal of the actual backup lamp. From what I'm reading, the backup lamp will also power the camera.

Congrats :) Hopefully by now you have the DVD player working. I wonder if you could do a test (you might have to wait until after dark): Turn on your headlights and bring up your dash lighting to full brightness (thumbwheel left of steering wheel). Are the new NAV's buttons the same brightness as your dash? Mine are very dim and I could not figure out how to bring the NAV system up to match the rest of the backlit buttons. Maybe someone here knows of the "hidden code" on how to do this.

I have never tried that. To be honest, I didn't even know you could download a route/trip from Google Maps to the Garmin. Can you explain how to do it?

Thanks for the test...mine does the same. I'll contact their tech group on Tuesday to see if there's a way to change it.

Just installed my Myron unit. Refurb'd off ebay for 250 shipped install is super easy took around 1 hour. No glitches everything works fine. My friend got one put at the dealership they charged him $2000 (including back up cam) :D Feel like I got a great deal.

I don't think the brightness or color of the buttons is adjustable on our units.

We did the install on SocalBPrius today, everything was quick and easy. He has the factory optional Bluetooth and it worked fine with no modifications. So he didn't need to use the M&D built-in Bluetooth.

My Bluetooth is having problems, it originally paired perfectly with my iPhone but it lost connection and no longer pairs. I've tried multiple phones and everything in the book to fix it, including calling tech support. The eBay seller has given me a RMA number to send it back to M&D.
