I will try to watch more closely but your values seem to be about what I see (to be honest I don't look at the dash battery display much any more, I just go off SoC on the ScanGauge).

I think at the low end the ICE will come on around 36% (which should still be 2 bars). If it does so purely defensively while you are stopped, it will go up to 45% and shut off. If you're actually driving a lot of factors can come into play.

I should add that I'm using the data provided by vincent1449p in ScanGaugeII Xgauges for Prius C / Yaris Hybrid | PriusChat when programming my ScanGauge (using the metric tab of the spreadsheet), so my readouts are purely based on what's been given there, but as all the data I'm looking at is making a lot of sense, I have no reason to question it.

Just bought the ODBII reader and Torque app with the intent to use it on my Prius C. Lots of good information in this thread, though it leads me to believe that the Torque app does not provide much "out of the box" for this vehicle. Not being familiar with the app, is there an easy way to get up and running?

I am most interested in Tach, Temps, and instantaneos MPG.

It will give you a good bit, just not a lot of information about the battery or Hybrid temps.

You'll get instant MPG & non-hybrid temps and maybe something tachometer-related, but I'm not sure. There's at least one custom PID spreadsheet linked to earlier in this thread. I installed them but I don't remember how - something here might help: OBDII Android App | PriusChat

It's easy. From the front page select the options button and in the menu it says load PID.

I think the file had to be put in a certain folder on the device, but I don't remember where.

I have looked at this again now I have refilled the tank, and suggest that rather than being a raw read on the tank, it displays what remains of fuel available i.e. excluding the reserve when the warning light is on. For my (metric) 36L tank, I get to put in about 32.5L to first shut-off. My gauge is now showing exactly that. When the fuel light came on the gauge was showing about 1.5 - 1.0.
You can see this in my two favourite displays, as follows:

Does the Gen3 PIDS works in the Prius C in torque?
    Thanks
