    Hi everyone!

I've been looking all over for a wiring diagram for the JBL amp sitting in my 2005 Prius, the plugs going in to the amp has a billion wires and I've got no clue what they are. The model no. on the amp is 86280-0W240. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any help appreciated.. Thanks! :)

Question: looking at this diagram... If I removed thw head unit completely, then just spliced a headphone jack wire into the R and L + and -, would this effectively give me a line in?

My MFD is broken and all the audio I listen to is through my phone. I'd like to just hard wire in a Bluetooth adapter and eliminate the head unit altogether. Would this work?

I doubt it. best solution is an aftermarket 2din headunit

I have a 2005 Prius w/separate JBL amp and purchased the 2006 factory xm radio receiver and a cable harness for the interface. I believe the cable I received is the wrong cable for this installation but was able to connect and successfully interface the xm receiver with the multi function display which indicated and displayed I was receiving XM radio stations. However the cable I have does not appear to be the correct cable to interface with the amp and as a result I do not get any sound out of the system. Any information on wiring details between the multi function display, JBL amp and XM receiver would be greatly appreciated. With those details I think I can modify the cable harness that I have to work . If you have the part number for the proper cable I can also look for that but these are so old now I'm not sure I can find one. Thanks for your time and help.

    Hi John,
Just a follow up on the JBL 2007 factory amp for I want to add a Rockford Fosgate amp for an additional subwoofer. Provided I have the High line inverter to RCA so I can plug to the additional subwoofer amp. I saw your schematic and I was planning to connect it to the amplifier input if that's correct as I have an additional drawing on the schematic. attached. its the Green line with the Red dot. Is this correct? or should I go with the jbl amp out rear speaker going to the inverter?
    Thanks Joe

I used the rear speaker JBL output to drive my amp, but there is no reason why you cannot use your method shown.
I only look in on PC occasionally as I have sold my Prius, and bought a Lexus GS450H hybrid.

    Hi John,
Oh okay. Congratulations on the new car!
Thanks for that diagram and I was able to get the back system running. The bass frequency is right on the money. Good thing I had the chance to install it last Sunday. Great!

Could you send me this diagram as well? I’m installing a subwoofer in my Prius. Can I tap into this amp instead of going into the dash? If I can, which wires do I splice into? Thanks
