REBOOTING

    So, after 473 miles of continued EV use, I had to ruin it with a trip. But decided to reboot and try to raise my estimated range. So I rebooted, but this time left the 12 V battery OFF all night. That seems to do the trick, as I raised it from 11.1 to 13.9 miles.

    Disconnect the 12V battery, I made it simple by putting a switch in.

    I don't see how that helps with range you are simply tricking the counter to rest I think and also you lose all your preferences nothing actually changes

    Have you actually tried using the trip computer to calculate it instead of the estimate

    My EV cuts out at 14mph, and even then I cant use it till Ive driven the car for at least five min to warm it up.

    without being a plug in its of no use to me, we drive faster than 14mph in parking lots around here.

    All it resets is the estimated range. I would bet that the distance you actually go in EV is the same before and after.

    It has to make the littlest of sense to try it. Your theory has no logic behind it

    That would have to be proved under very strict, laboratory conditions. Too many factors determining actual range, temp, acceleration, altitude, mood, pressure, wind, wind direction.
