hello. i just bought a new 2014 PIP base.

surprisingly many things are not intuitive.
dealer has set a destination on navigation and i can't seem to find a way to cancel the route. it always directs me to set destination. how do i cancel the current route?

i'm also having difficulty changing the calendar date. c'mon, how difficult should that be? it took me a while to change the clock (let alone, finding where the setting is).

i bought PIP to get a green sticker but looks like all 40k stickers are gone now. tough luck for me as i have a long daily commute. do we know if more stickers will be available? i did some research and it looks like a bill was killed recently. sigh.

You'll probably have better luck driving the car back to the dealer and asking your sales person / service department to show you all the functions. It can be done in this forum, but it's no different than reading your owners manual.

It's not easy to cancel an active route. You have to go into several levels of options in the destination menu.

To change the date, go into the settings menu from the display in the dash - it's covered in the quick start guide.

The guide to the audio/display system is thicker than the manual to my most recent digital camera purchase. :)

While the map is displaying, press Route. Then "Cancel Destination." Confirm and you're done.

That would be a great voice command to have.

"STOP TELLING ME WHERE TO GO"

I believe you can cancel navigation that with voice commands, but I haven't tried it.

you can just say "cancel guidance" and it turns it off.

While you are on Navigation screen (map), tap on options, then tap on stop guidance. That will do it.

If I remember correctly, if you want to set the year you have to fast forward through the month mode - running through 12 months sets you into the next year, etc.

Pitty, PiP doesn't pick up date and time from built-in GPS receiver. :(
