i notice when folks are adding accesories etc that need to bring wire into cabin area......use all kind of contorsions and twists and turns all over the place,......when in fact its quite simple

    check picture below
all i did was force coat hanger wire tru rubber[quite safe]...once it went tru i tape my accesorry wire to coat hanger and pulled tru further from inside cabin[torch is helpful]....and voila undo the tape ...now my wire is inside

and there is room for many more.......the rubber is "self healing" and will tighten round the wire nicely...sealing it

thought this might be useful to someone prius bulk.jpg

    Which grommet is this?

If it is the one that comes through near the brake pedal, those of us who know about the oem foglight installation know about it.

Your picture doesn't look like it though.

P.S. Is that a horn? What's it doing all the way back there, by the firewall/strut tower?

I prefer "insulation hangers." They are stiffer and less likely to bend like coat hangers. I make a very small loop on the end and double over the end of the wire that I'm pulling.

I've used them as locators to drill through wood and sheetrock structures in house walls to locate places to drill larger holes for running in-wall wiring, too.

Still, what grommet/hose is that? The AC evaporator? The heater?

I believe it is the main wiring harness.

I'm going to be running one wire through soon. There is a "nipple" that I'm going to try to deal with. Fog light instructions say to cut it off. I don't seem to see it in the picture. It seems like a very difficult reach until I read your coat hanger idea. Thank you so much!
