Reverse camera installation

Does anyone know where I can get one of these converters?
Mine is a 2004 and I would love to fit a rear camera

 

The camera harness on all American 2007 Prius including base resides in the hatch right past the rubber bellows wire protector about 6 inches in the hatch. Just take black plastic cover off inside hatch the one by the hinges. Its a 4 pin connector.
You have B+ and ground and camera video input and camera input shield.
On base models with no camera its still there as its part of a very large integrated harness.
If no camera its a base model. Buy a prius camera at junkyard and just plug it into that harness.

 

I have a 2008 and am not seeing any other 4 pin connectors or wires running into the hatch. Can u take pics?

 

Do you have a base no camera or sks?

 

I have a base model prius with no nav and no backup camera

 

Also no smart key too

In the electrical service manual it appears that camera harness is part of a very large main harness that goes from the dash to the hatch area to support all the lights etc. If you do not see it then its a separate harness.
It goes through the rubber bellows into the hatch and will be somewhere inside the hatch. Have to pull off all the flimsy black plastic panels.
Its a four conductor cable terminating into a plug. If its not in the hatch then it appears it is a separate harness and not installed in a base no camera trimmed car.
They must use a different harness for that car. Bummer.

 

thanks, looks like my prius is a package #1 prius which is slightly better then the base. i have cruise control.

 

I have a prius base, no nav and no cruise, Is there a adapter or plug to plug a generic camera I to the mfd? Or does this only work on the nav model?

 

I found the harness finally. It is part of a larger harness. The wires are red, white,black and gray... How do I hook this up to am oem/ factory camera?
The cameras I've seen on ebay or only 2 wire.

 

I have a 2007 with smart key, but no nav or backup camera and I wasn't able to find the wiring harness. I think our cars may be pretty similar. How difficult was it to get at the harness? Did you/could you take photos?

 

I recently bought the OEM backup camera.

Does anyone have pictures of the Backup camera wiring harness location? I took the plastic covers off the rear hatch. I managed to lose one of the white clips inside the hatch... hopefully I can find it.
