I didn't either until someone mentioned that front and rear seats were also lowered.

The shape, especially the high rear end reminds me of that Saturn that was released what, 15 years ago? lol

How many versions of Prius 4 has Toyota built ?
There is the normal Prius,Eco Prius and now I even discovered one which has no split rear window !

I like the new Prius 4,but I have no idea why they removed everything practical!
There got rid of the upper glovebox,,no more under floor tray, made sure you can't remove the rear headrests which results in that you no longer can fold everything flat as you could in Gen. 2 and near enough in Gen. 3 .
Honestly I wonder who came up with that "brilliant" idea ?
There is virtually nowhere I can put stuff exept, the center console box or door pockets and to top it all of they even managed to minimise the only existing glovebox of the vehicle !
What the hell were they thinking ?

Right, I think Wayne Gerdes said just that at 2 min 45 secs: "split rear window has been removed on all 4th Gen Prius" but I have seen any proof of that.

Didn't see them when I cycled through some of the MID menus. The buttons are back to hard plastics and feel a bit chintzy even compared to the Gen 2 steering wheel plastics.

Come to think of it, if you know how Touch Tracer is implemented, then you can probably guess it's not on the 4th Gen because the instrument panel looks to be two screens, similar to the Mirai. On the Gen 2 & 3, the speedo is mirrored onto the instrument panel to create depth. The actual display is within the dashboard on the 2G/3G.

Mine has the solar roof, yes.

I don't know what Wayne saw. I didn't see one without a split window. Unless he's telling us that somehow the silver car is the only one with a fake blacked out piece where the lower window is supposed to be. I didn't look so I can neither confirm or deny Wanye's claim.

I didn't look either because I assumed the window is there. Maybe Wayne saw something we didn't?

Do the windows come all the way down ?
In the Video it seems as they stop at a certain point,at least they stick out a bit,but maybe the reviewer didn't roll them down full way .
Where do I find the pictures you took .
    I can't find them .

It is a freeze shot from the video link, where he also explains(in spanish) the double rear hatch window that cleanmpg seems to suggest otherwise.

Bah. Didn't think of checking it out. Sorry! Hopefully one of the other mods/Prius Experts tried it out.

Check this image. Look through the lower rear window on the right side. You can see through it. It's not blacked out or a fake window.

Thanks. Yeah I don't know what Wayne's talking about then. I was shocked when I first heard that in the video but then thought to myself, "well I didn't check to see if it was removed in the silver car."

Has the Periscope walk around video been uploaded to YouTube? I've tried to access it via browser and via my phone (with Periscope app downloaded) and it says "Broadcast not found". Is there another link to a replay?

At first I was confused, but then it hit me - does this mean that the Gen3 hb did NOT have keyless hatch unlock? Our Gen2 does and I use it all the time, don't give it a second thought; I'd be annoyed if I had to fish out my fob just to open or lock the hatch (I know, first world problems). The back doors don't strike me as being a big deal - I just touch the front handle with one hand to unlock, then open the back handle with my other hand - or is that somehow impractical on the Gen3 as well?

Gen 3 does have it, but it's on the driver's door only on the lower models (Two only on 2012 and up).

It's when I've had to do that with a baby in my hands that I wish the back doors had smart keys as well. Even now that he is 5 years old I still don't like the dance when approaching the car from the rear. The keyless entry is a great feature.
