how to repair the engine compartment wire

    I've worked with engineers, that'll look at my attempt at design, then basically say: "Ok, that's good, but too complicated and expensive, overkill for the situation".

    Don't turn it into a pissing contest, lol.

    I don't think it requires zip ties at all. Just posted which ones would last the cars lifetime under the hood.

    Also, they're quite affordable. Gardner Bender. But most would buy in larger packages to be more worthwhile. And yeah about $30 for a 500 to 1000 pack all depends on length.

    I hope that's not anything like Kapton which has been implicated in a number of aircraft fires and crashes...

    I used F4 tape back in the 70's when I worked on fighter aircraft in the USAF. It's good stuff. I won't worry about fires, etc.

    Kapton is/was wire insulation. Nothing to do with this topic.
