    Have we talked about this?
Received in mail today from Toyota notice of Warranty Enhancement Program for Brake Actuator Assembly to December 31, 2017 for my specific vehicle (that would be 11+ years). If applicable condition is verified it will be repaired at no charge. Believe you might get a warning light.

The notice says that the majority of vehicles will not display this problem.

Looks almost like a mistake or something because primary coverage goes out to 12/2017 (11+ years age of vehicle) but when that is over the secondary coverage goes to 10-years vehicle age. Almost like they meant to say go out 9 years like the Combo gauge.

Where it says Dear Prius and Highlander HV Owner , please be advised I do not own a Prius and a Highlander, so I think they mean Prius or Highlander HV owner.

I can't remember all those lights on, slip indicator light rarely stays on. All those other warning lights are common to see here

See the last sentence - you can make a case for reimbursement with Toyota,

The only thing that comes to mind is a recent post: one person had most but not all of these same lights on.

    .
Thanks for posting the letter and notice.

Nothing about this in my Toyota.com account. (a 2005) " There are no open Safety Recalls or Special Service Campaigns for your vehicle. " . . .

    - - - - - - - From the web site: . . . - - - - - - - -
    Special Service Campaign
A Special Service Campaign is the Toyota owner notification program to inform customers about specific product or technical issues which require inspection and/or repair. These issues are typically customer satisfaction initiatives. The described service will be performed at no charge to the vehicle owner.

    Limited Service Campaign
Limited Service Campaigns are programs to inform customers about a product or technical issue for which inspection and/or repair is being offered for a specific period. Toyota requests that customers take advantage of this service prior to an expiration date. The described inspection and/or repair will be performed at no charge to the vehicle owner provided the Limited Service Campaign has not expired.

I read the last sentence of the first attachment related to possible reimbursement for previous work. I had my actuator replaced at about 145k on my 2007, but the thing is that I had a used actuator installed at a non-dealer shop. Does anyone have any experience with something like this? Is Toyota likely to reimburse any of my cost if I did the work through a third party? I assume they have no way of knowing what my issues actually were (other than my word) and then would be unlikely to reimburse me. Is it worth a shot anyway, or should I just not waste my time?

..wonder if its just Gen2 or what? We'll have to see who gets the letter. What primary end date did they give you on a 2008?

What years does this cover? It mentions nothing about the model or year in the letter.

Each letter is unique to the vehicle. It states that Primary Coverage offers warranty enhancement until Dec, 31 2017, regardless of mileage. It then states that After Primary Coverage ends, the Secondary Coverage is applicable for 10 years from the date of first use, or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first. It then has the Date of First Service on the vehicle, next to the VIN. There is no definition of Primary or Secondary coverage.

    REIMBURSEMENT INFO:

I plan to find out. I'm in that position, but I'm slacking on contacting Toyota. I'll update when I get around to actually submitting my info to them.

I had brake actuator repaired under this program less than a month ago - posted about it on this forum. Toyota covered all costs. Hadn't gotten the letter yet though, the toyota repair mechanic found out it was covered on researching. Just got my letter today. My 10 year limit expires in August of this year.
