Has anyone tried the TPMS functionality of the app?

Btw, if you guys also have other 2006+ Toyota/Lexus/Scion cars besides the Prius, it would be of huge help if you could send me a "debug report" that contains info about supported settings. To do that, open the slide-out menu from the left and tap on the "Version 2.0" label 5 times. This will open a new screen that collects info and then guides you to sending a report. Please include the exact year and model of the car. Thanks![/QUOTE]

We currently have a 2012 v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon), 2013 hatchback and last night we picked up a 2016 with all the bells and whistles. What can we do to help?

Also, has anyone figured out how to turn the headlights on at night when you unlock the vehicle? I would love to have that on my wife's prius, she works late nights and I worry about her safety.

Hey anyone who has purchased the app already, Do you know if you can reprogram new TPMS sensors with the app? I need to do that still but I don't want to purchase a pro key unless it can do that.

I have the app and a 2015 2, I don't see that function being available.

Yeah I ended up just buying it to find out. Kind of a bummer since the dev was talking about adding it in aug of last year.

Agreed, it's nice for the couple of things I've customized, but they haven't done much with it since... I signed up for the beta teting in hopes that tpms programming would be in there....But it isn't.

Yeah that was my hope as well. Going to email the dev and see if there's any headway being made on that.

Just bought a 2010 Prius a week ago and kept finding this forum when I was searching for various Prius related things via Google. Looks like a great place to learn about the Prius!

I saw this thread about Carista, bought one and the Pro version of the app. Got rid of that annoying beep and have been tweaking other settings.

    Very happy with Carista!!!

A new version just came out. Now he wants us to pay 39.99 a YEAR to be able to use the app and customization features.

I already paid 20$ for the app, including the in app purchase. No way will I pay 40 a year.

EDIT: I just received an email from the developer, he says us earlier adopters will be grandfathered in to show his appreciation, great guy!!

Yeah I was super confused by that at first. I would have been super upset if they made us pay for it again. But since we already purchased, we're in the clear at least. $20 bucks for the app was a bit much to begin with.

When we purchased our Prius, the dealer told us to write down all the changes we wanted to make because if we forget something or want to change it back, they would charge us the labor to do it (minimum 1 hour).
I think I used the app twice and I still think $20 for the app was a great deal.
I do think that $40/year is high though.

Just got a bluetooth OBD2 plug. Not willing to pay an ongoing subscription fee for an app. The search for an app goes on unless this one can go back to a one-time purchase.

If you are on android, you can use torque, with these PIDs: GenIII Prius Custom PIDs for Torque app | PriusChat

Included are the PIDs to customize these features. If you are on IOS, you can use EngineLink and use that same torque data.

EDIT: Although the week trial probably would be enough to do what you need. To be honest, I definitely did all of my configuring with carista within the first week, and then never touched it again. Carista is without a doubt the best app of it's kind for customizing hidden settings. The other options are "possible", but you need to be technically proficient to be able to import the reverse beep to torque and successfully use it to disable it.

Oops I guess I am 2 months too late for a 1 time fee instead of paying for a subscription! Bummer!

I found an option to purchase the old Pro package for a one-time fee of $19.99 under the debug menu.

@SAronian - I've been snooping around Amazon, but I cannot find the debug menu. Please provide a trail of breadcrumbs for me to follow.

It's not associated with the device; it's part of the IOS app. Tap the 'hamburger ' icon in the upper left corner to see the debug option.

Hmm, interesting. I think in order to allow people who previously purchased the pro package to keep their features without re-buying it they had to still declare that the 19.99$ one time purchase is still valid to itunes and in order to do that they have to include an option for it in an app.

I hope the discovery of it through the debug menu doesn't cause him to remove the old pro package from the itunes manifest. If that happens, then the old users would lose their grandfathered status.
