2006 prius red triangle with no codes appearing

    Just started a while ago. First it was the master break solenoid, got that replaced. Car drove fine but the light came up.

    Just had a shop diagnose it and said it was the inverter coolant for the main hybrid battery.

    Replaced it but the triangle is still there.

    My OBD2 reader is showing no codes. I remove the the triangle using the dongle but it comes back up immediately.

    The technisian doesnt wanna refund me for the false diagnosis, what else do you guys think could be wrong?

    If under CARB warranty 10-yr 150k miles get over to Toyota service shop

    If the triangle is there, there is a code.
    The reader needs to be able to read the code.

    Get techstream or torque. Or take it to a dealer or independent hybrid tech.

    I ordered a techstream 2 days ago.

    In order to use, id have to install the software on my computer and connect the dongle to the prius correct?

    A old xp based laptop would be the ticket. The techstream software disc you receive may have malware on it, better to isolate to a laptop no longer used for daily service.

    I wish my current laptop had xp lol

    I undersyand then, any old computer will work. JUst waiting on tracking!!!

    I got the cable and software to work and it gave me the 3 error codes

    P0A2D

    C1310

    B1421


    I can't seem to find anything on these.

    If you insert these codes into the Prius Chat search, you will find certain answers for each code. P0A2D seems to suggest a temp value is too high or not reading due to loose wiring or bad connection.

    DTC C1310/51 MALFUNCTION IN HV SYSTEM

    CIRCUIT DESCRIPTIONThe skid control ECU communicates with the hybrid control ECU and controls braking force according to the motor's regenerative force. The skid control ECU sends Enhanced VSC signal to the hybrid control ECU and inputs operating signal from the hybrid control ECU. The skid control ECU uses CAN communication for communication with the hybrid control ECU. If a communication malfunction is memorized, the skid control ECU prohibits Enhanced VSC operation and a part of ECB control by fail safe function.

    C1310/51 156

    The traction control prohibition signal is received for at least 0.07 sec. when IG2 terminal voltage is 10.5V or more for at least 1.5 sec. and communication with hybrid control computer is valid.
