The first time this happened I came home from work with an almost full tank, turned off the car, went to bed, and when I got in my car the next day the gauge had one bar and I got the Add Fuel message. I went to a gas station and did the inclination reset and filled up and it was fine.

A week later I'm driving with about 2 bars less than full and when I'm on the interstate it drops to one bar...Then 15 minutes later goes up to half full.

    Any insight, guys?

EDIT: I filled it up with 2.49 gallons and it is reading full again but how can I prevent this?

yes, it's likely the rubber bladder inside the tank. it is affected by the climate. best you can do is reset the trip meter and fill up after 500 miles or so, sending on your average mpg's.

I just did this fill tank remove 12v battery for 10min it will be a little off because of the rubber tank liner and wintertime best times the summer

Maybe you have a bad fuel sensor or a problem with the fuel bladder

Was this a long term solution?

Is there a different method than the inclination reset? Or is that the same thing?
