    I asked this specific question (front heated seats vs all seats) to my salesperson - important consideration in Minnesota. She said front seat only.

    That said, she was not very informed about the Prime. I'd love to hear that she was wrong.

    Yeah I know. It used to be a wealth of competent technical knowledge about two generations of Prius models. Now it's four generations and the site can't keep up with it all and is crashing a lot. :p

    The whole seat is heated. These are the best seat heaters I have ever had on any car. I use them almost everyday.

    Perhaps the screen you are seeing refers to heater vents. I remember something from the early releases of the car knowing which seats were in use for directly air flow.

    Oh jeez. You may want to be clearer in your responses.

    The way you worded your response, it sounded like you meant only the seat bottom is heated, to which I replied that the seat bottom AND seatback are heated (and so did other people).

    What you're saying (now that I think I've deciphered it), is that you're saying the front seats are heated, not the rear seats.

    Yes, that's correct.

    Here's an update for those who are interested.

    Through the lifetime of my PiP:
    • 42,583.2 miles driven
    • 67.2134318 MPGe
    • $0.046468 average cost per Mile on gas
    • $0.042497 average cost per Mile on electric
    • $0.007362 average cost per Mile on electric considering my Solar...
    • 5.01341993 Miles per kWH average
    Of course this includes 2.5 years of ownership, includes winter, spring, summer & fall...in the Northeast.

    So far with my Prime:
    • 3,323 miles driven
    • 98.32581992 MPGe
    • $0.072785 average cost per Mile on gas (this is higher than above BECAUSE HV miles and EV miles are measured differently)
    • $0.027281 average cost per Mile on electric
    • $0.007312 average cost per Mile on electric considering my Solar...
    • 4.6125 Miles per kWH average

    Considerations:
    • Again, EV range and what not is calculated differently from PiP to Prime.
    • My cost per Mile takes into account electric costs here, but does not take into account there are some regen miles on there.
    • Prime is only driven in the winter.
    • I'm truly excited to see what this puppy can do in the summer. AC should run way more efficiently than the heat pump.

    Bringing this thread back from the dead...I have new updates here.

    On a trip where the PiP brought me to around 70-75 MPG in 50 degree weather I managed 162 MPG. Out of 49 miles in the Prime only 7 were used for Gas! I couldn't believe it...

    I wonder what would happen if I drove a Volt 1st gen. It's crazy to think the Prime is 55% of the Volt 1st Gen Capacity yet can match its metrics. I know it's not apples-to-apples and my driving style dictates it...

    FYI the average speed is around 44 MPH, mixed highway 55-60 MPH and back roads 30-40 MPH. Highway takes up about 60% of my commute.
