I was wondering if anyone else in the US had this issue... I have a Scangauge II. I got the firmware update to 4.22 from the awesome vendor. I was quite unhappy when I got the end result.... details below...

I can get X-Gauge settings for posted and known things (SOC, for instance), but for some reason the HBV (voltage level of the hybrid battery) always displays a null (blank). I reset the ScanGauge to defaults and manually cleared out all of the X-Gauge codes, recycled the power on it, and entered in only the HBV cmd/response codes posted on this site. It still shows null/blank for that gauge when shown on main gauge screen.

Has anyone else had this issue, or am I missing something obvious (that tends to happen).

Thanks in advance for anything you have.

I should probably mention the facts, though they should be obvious.. I have a 2017 Gen 4 purchased from dealer.

I am in the UK, but did some testing for Linear Logic. As you say, those tech guys are awesome. I also got a blank result with the HBV XGauge that is posted on their website, but I tested this alternative one for them, and it worked for me:

    TXD: 07DF0153
    RXF: 454106532000
    RXD: 4010
    MTH: 000100400000
NAME: (any code you like, I use hBV)

    Hope that works for you.
How do you use this XGauge? I haven't found a reason to include it among my four main displayed codes.

Just sent my two ScanGauge II's to update the firmware to the latest (4.42). Both my older Gauges were at 4.12 that I used with my 08' Prius, now will be using with the new 2017 Prius 2. I'll be trying out the available codes in a week or two when they get them back to me.
I would like to use both Gauges and will have to experiment a bit with the new Prius, but using two gauges at time to display 8 parameters in the Gen II sometimes did strange things to the readings making them very slow or not update at all. I guess I'll find out soon.

Hope your installation went well. I'm using two gauges (with different firmware versions) on the Gen 4 and so far (touch wood) no problems noted.

They're on the way back to me now, both should be at vers. 4.42. Interestingly enough when I first tried out a single gauge with the 4.12 firmware, some of the original codes seemed to work ok. I might try some of the gen. 3 codes just for curiosity, I should have them back here by the first of next week, and if I find some working ones I'll post em'.

Did get em' back a few days ago, with vers. 4.45 firmware. Can't find a change log though, not sure whats changed. I did try the original code for the HBV, and got a 0 reading too. I tried Greenjuice's code though and did get readings, but they seemed to come up with strange values ranging from 0, 256, 768, 0, etc. Not sure whats going on, but "Number 5s" gauges probably read a bit weird when he took that lightning strike...:). And yes, coming from an Engineering background I'm definitely a Data Junkie.

Now have "INPUT"! The ScanGauge folks sent me two replacement boards with firmware 4.50 and the first set of primary X-Gauge codes for the gen 4 work well, now displaying all 4 tire pressures on my second Gauge. Great customer service.
