Cabin Pre-Conditioning: Problem with A/C Using EVSE

    Thanks for the data point -- I'll try the same on my car out of curiosity but I would not choose use that method voluntarily since it entails leaving the windows closed, or standing around for 3.5 minutes after I close the windows until the A/C Fob function is active.

    Looks like you can get the dealer to program your windows to close automatically when holding the lock button.



    Not sure if you still need to wait 3.5 minutes. I'm guessing not, since car was never started using this method.

    Hi Eluo,

    This option is mentioned in the owner manual but I'm pretty sure it is not available to the base ("plus" in the US) trim. I'll double check again to be sure

    The remote closing of windows is not available in the U.S.

    We have 3 options

    1. Remote open
    2. Key-in-door open
    3. Key-in-door close.

    If the ca is locked I used E-tune app to start a/c prior driving off while plugged to evse - worked every time regardless if the car competed charging or not. Fob key did not work for me. for some reason while plugged I can't start A/c that way.

    BTW
    preconditioning the car while plugged in can gain as much as 3 miles of EV range in hot climate (read Houston in my case), so I start using it regularly.
