    Please Help!!!

2013 Prius Plug-In Hybrid 77K miles. With these codes it won't even start, and it doesn't seem to want to charge with AC cord.

I found the 150 amp fuse blown, replaced it and it didn't help. New fuse did not blow but the codes stayed the same. Replaced the Voltage Regulator on battery pack. Codes stayed the same and car still will not start. Car is towed to my house now.

All battery cells read 3.62 or 3.62 volts with voltmeter.

    Torque App shows V01 through V08 as between 25.2 and 25.4. V09 reads 51.4, V10 reads 2.5, V11 reads 11.3 and V12 reads 0.0.

Does anyone know what the V09, V10, V11, and V12 should read on a working car?
Also, what is normal cell voltage for Li-Ion?

I ordered the mini VCI cable and will use Toyota Tech info when that comes in. I'll update on Monday or Tuesday morning about what I discover.

    I'd better update:

It's Thursday now and I finally got the cable delivered today. I'm not having much luck getting it connected even after paying for a professional 2 day subscription to TIS.

Wow! Really? Do you remember the exact codes? Also, did you replace the inverter yourself?

Is there anyone in Portland, Oregon with a third-gen Prius Plug-In with a Li-Ion battery pack who would let me look at the data on their car for comparison?

My 2012 PIP had this error code. Fix was new 12v battery. Still on original battery. I never plug in. 100k miles.

Car suddenly lost power on fwy going 60 mph. Had the Check Hybrid System Stop at safe place warning msg on dash. Tow truck driver had to put battery pump pack to get car into neutral so car can load on flatbed.
Dealer scanned and diagnose the above error codes. Recommend new 12v battery and fixed.

    So just share my experience.

Problems could be very different thats why prius chat is a good source to fix your prius with.
Your chance is 10% of 100%
Usually with chat recommendations people braking their cars even more and getting in to even bigger money waste.

Certainly the utility for "cell low volt READY ON prevention cancel" is useful to know about, if you are stuck and the one thing preventing you from getting to the shop to fix the problem is that you can't start the car because of the low voltage lockout.

Certainly, also, that isn't a fix, and if used as one is likely to make a bad situation worse.

Did you get a solution to your issue? I have a 2012 Prius plugin, with these codes: C1259, C1310, P1A61, P1A64, P1A67, P31AB, POAFC. We took the 12 volt battery and had it tested, but I wonder if it really is bad.

I don't see any code there that would cast any suspicion on the 12 volt battery.

Some of those are common and well known. C1259 and C1310 are the two codes the brake ECU sets when it has been notified of codes in the power management control ECU, so all those two codes mean is "go find out what your other codes mean."

P0AFC (note the zero, there's never a letter O in a trouble code) means the sensor module back inside the traction battery has sent a message to the power management control ECU reporting some kind of self-test failure. (At least that's what it means for a 2010 liftback, and P0 codes are standardized, so we can probably trust that.) P1 codes are manufacturer-defined and can be different in different cars, so you'd really be best off to look those up in the repair manual for your own model and year (more info) to find out what those mean.

I'm also not sure what your P31AB code means; my 2010 manual has no such code. P3 codes are "jointly defined" between the SAE and manufacturers ... I guess that means something different from both standardized and manufacturer-defined, but beyond that I'm not really sure what. Upshot, again, your own model/year repair manual would be the best place to look it up.

I have all these same codes after a quick spark due to a tool touching the 12V Battery and the Hybrid metal case.

Anyone know much about the possible fix shown above related to changing the Ready on Prevention via Techstream?
