Anyone know the part number for the PCV valve? Is it also called the pressure valve? Trying to buy part and want to confirm. Thanks in advance!

Seriously...yes. No need to be a dick. I have a part # from an online store that is different and want to confirm. They are calling it a pressure valve.

   .

How many miles when you undertook this? Any symptoms that caused the cleaning, or was reading about it sparking some interest? How long did it take? What cleaning method and solvents were employed?

Looks like doing the job was a good idea though(y).

IMG_5583.JPG IMG_5584.JPG Cold start up rattle
Cleaned oil puddle a while back but still heard rattle this morning after 4hr hour drive yesterday. She's at 185500. Been wanting to do it for months but always something else to drink I mean do!
Really a very easy job. Considering.
3 cans CRC cleaner. Took my time
Cleaning but no longer than anything else... best to do plugs valve body pcv oil puddle oil catch can etc all together because wipers come off and air box and snorkel too...but then again after 2-3 times wipers come off and on in 10-15 minutes...
To do job need a hose crimping tool or vice grip wrapped around towel to no damage hose...

Depends on what you got "just Layin' around";).

Most suggest hose clamps. I prefer to pool the job with inverter coolant change. Makes much less mess or the potential for it(y).

Clean your pcv and put an oil catch can in. Your car will run smoother, get better mpg and won't knock at start. Your throttle body will be cleaner because the catch removes the oil before entering the intake plenum under the throttle body. There is an oil catch can thread.

Puddle is not normal. That oil will coat the intake plenum, intake valves, pistons, exhaust valves, heads, egr cooler and egr valve with carbon that will decrease performance, mpg, reliability, etc. That knocking at start up is from too much compression, from oil, coolant, water condensation and fuel. The knocking is bad for the motor. Head gasket failure is what you asking for. That 3 layer steel head gasket start to wear out causing the engine to eat coolant and then you have a bent rod, thrown rod(breaks block) or hydrolocked engine. The usb toyota has for a new manifold did nothing to fix these problems. The oil catch can will.

Not sure how a question about a part number illicits your opinion and snide remark.

I'm just going to change it out bc it's cheap and an easy swap anyway. I will be completing this, plugs, and egr at 120k in a few weeks.

The part number was good so thanks.

IMG_5532.PNG Think Toyota tired of swapping head gaskets plenums injectors yet?
I've got that can on my next to do list...out of EGR Valve into can with Brillo material then back to intake? ... seems easy enuff. Sounds like something I saw on my 54 chevy back in the day
