Her name is Hazel. Better calling it that instead of Grandma Green. (Sea Glass Pearl).

Her sticker reads "heated mirrors". How do they work? Am I missing a switch in the car. I couldn't find anything in the manual.

Next, I've purchased a seat cover for my rear seats since I have a dog. From what I understand, my battery is in the rear compartment, near my spare tire. Does this vent somewhere that my seat cover will interfere with? I've read some batteries are under the rear seats, mine is not.

    Thanks for any help!

When you turn on the rear defroster, the mirrors heat up. They work quite well. Just remember not to touch the heated mirror.

    Welcome!
I am not sure on the Prius v but on mine the heated mirrors turn on with the rear defroster. My button shows both the rear window and mirrors.
    Yours may be similar.

mine turn on the the heated seats.

as for the rear seat cover, make sure it doesn't block the hybrid battery cooling intake grille. not sure where that is on the v.

Bisco’s reply may be more accurate since his car is more similar to yours than mine is. I do not have heated seats either.

Yikes. Heated seats = heated mirrors? I hope that's not the case for the v's. My seat gets too warm for these buns, at least in November. Maybe I'll enjoy that heat in January!

The hybrid battery intake vent is under the rear right side passenger seat on my 2016 Prius v Three. Yours is probably in a similar location...

The battery vent on the v is under the passenger rear seat.
The rear window defogger is also the outside mirror defogger.
"Defogging the rear window and outside rear view mirrors
Defoggers are used to defog the rear window and to remove raindrops, dew and frost from the outside rear view mirrors." page 368 https://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om-s/OM47B23U/pdf/OM47B23U.pdf

    Thanks Jimbo,
So the vent is under the rear seat...my seat cover has a flap that fall down the front of the rear seat, almost hitting the floor. Will that interfere with ventilation?

Without being able to see it, I would fold the flap back under seat cover so it does not hang down on the passenger side.

I fòund the little vent under the rear passenger seat! Thanks! Now I think I'll cut my seat cover on that side to allow ventilation. Thank you all. I appreciate your help!

I check the vent occasionally just to make sure its not clogged with debris. I had to vacuum it once using a long extension on the vacuum hose.
