Just got 17 miles out of a full charge. :( Teens at night and up to 25 F in the daytime. I've got 3/8 of a tank remaining from August. And I hadn't used a cup of that until now. I don't mind flushing it all out and refreshing with some new gas that I almost might somehow maybe hardly not even use up by the end of winter. :D

But when the ice is glued onto all the windows, and the inside of the windows are also covered with humidity, and I have to shovel around the car to move it - yes - there's gonna be some HV gas usage. I can handle that for a few months.

Wow that's quite a drop. Was the car plugged in prior to departure?

No. I plug in once every 3-5 days. My commute is 1.5 miles each way. So unless I have an actual errand to run, the short cold commutes and the car sitting in cold soak mode cuts the EV mileage a bit. In this last EV period I had used the heater several times. And it went to ICE with 3.5 miles left at 24 degrees to precondition. I know that's the way it should work, but that does cut the mileage shy of what a warmer day would offer.

17 is the shortest EV actual I've had yet. Most was 32 miles. Perhaps in the winter I should just convert them to kilometers to make me feel better. 17 = 27.5 :D

in my case, I was plugged in, drove 2.7 miles to work, worked, then drove co-worker home, using up 12 miles of EV before ICE kicked in.

Ahh I see. So it's a worst-case scenario - cold soak with no plug. Good to know. Thanks!

Yes.. 27.5km... excellent. "Now you speak-a my language" :D

    Holy.

Actually I think you get more snow than I do. But temps are probably the same.

Curious to see what happens at -40..... just for the heck of it. (Not that I'm wishing that kind of temperature on you)
