Found this on a Japanese site...A fog light kit for Gen4 Prius using OEM Toyota parts..appears to consist of the left and right lamps, a new stalk/switch, and a relay. Only issue is that its for the Japanese market, a right hand drive vehicle, so its on the wrong side of the steering wheel.

I did find what appears to be the correct part for the stalk/switch on Toyota of Dallas website..see photo below. I'm posting this for anyone looking to buy the fog lights from the dealer, as it appears there are other parts needed to make them work.

Just increase your tire air pressure by 4-6 psi and you will get the mileage back.

If anyone knows of a seller for the clones, I would be interested.

hi i don't think they come with the switch. the replacement lever is very expensive and difficult to install. what i've done is fuse tapped the fogs and drl to turn on whenever the car is in ready. so they are always on. the only alternative would be to find a way through the engine firewall into the driver cabin and rig your own switch. if you are lucky there might be an available unconnected harness already in your car near to where the fogs are supppsed to be installed. good luck!

I manged to find a 3rd trim stalk at aftermarket. The problem I have is - is it going to work?
fog lights and stalk from 3rd trim on my version TWO Prius. Has anyone did such thing? :)

Friend of mine did such thing. After strting engine fog lights switch on as DRL, changing stalk switch to actual DRL switches right away fog lights off.

Maybe just put in the cheapest fog lights you can find, and fugedabout getting them to actually work? It's all about looks, they're not very good, at least the OEM ones.

Actually i want to use them as DRL lights. In my country it is ok as long as beams are off.
During the normal day I would use them as lights being on are obligatory here.

Having version two without fog lights, i am thinking about changing steering wheel stalk and conect it.
Read here that some guys applied outter switches but just wonder if in the theory stalk from 3/4 trim on two version would work.
    I am not electrician :/

I'd vote for just adding a switch in the dash. I know, it will look more like an add-on,but much simpler/cheaper, and it is an add-on. Just my opinion though.

Found these fog lights made by iJDMTOY SKU# 70-833. exact fit for 2016 Prius. Comes with harness but I tried to get wiring diagram and was told they didn't have one yet. Cost $263.99, two lights with harness.

Happy to keep this thread alive!

While there's significant discussion in this thread (and perhaps others) re installing fog lights for Gen 4, I'm having trouble finding discussions from folks who went "full OEM" and actually changed out the turn signal stalk to include one that has the fog light(s) switch. Earlier in this thread someone stated that "the replacement lever is very expensive and difficult to install", but I'm up for the challenge. I have a 2018 Prius 4 (we liked the fog lights/wheels of the Touring, but wanted the HUD and moon roof) and would like to now add the fog lights.

I've read about instances where, after swapping out the modular turn signal stalk, it's revealed that there's actually a relay already installed for the fog lights - it can be heard clicking when the OEM fog switch on the signal stalk is turned on/off (even the fog light indicator on the dash illuminates?). There's a thread about that here, but it's with respect to Gen 3:

Fog Light Install w/ OEM Turn Signal Stalk / Switch | PriusChat

As anyone successfully added the fog lights with the OEM stalk swtich on a Gen 4/2016-2018? If I do this, I'd rather not have an aftermarket "look" or non-OEM switch for the fogs. I'm not too concerned about the added expense of doing it this way, I simply want the install to be as "factory" as possible.

Hello, I also wanted to revive this thread. Is there any update about the full OEM route? I bought the iJDM kit shortly after buying my car and installed it without any wiring, then later tapping into a fuse to let the DRL lights on the fog lights come on whenever the car is on. I have thought many times about spending some time to wire the fog parts of it up, but I don't really care to do so without some form of switch. Unfortunately, my 4 does not have any blanks though.

Has anyone tried swapping the stalk with any luck at all? Or even does someone know of a kit that's similar to the Japanese kit posted a while back, but for US/LHD cars not RHD? Like18GolfCart4 I want to make this as OEM as possible, even if this means a lot of work. I got the Four I got because I valued the HUD and sunroof much more than the fog lights and rims. That said, if anyone knows if swapping the 4 Touring headlights with the 4 would give me the cooler Touring DRL in the headlight I'd be interested in that as well.
